Campus Director 26/27 School Year: Tucson Campus (K-2nd & 6th-12th Grade) AZACS is growing, and we invite you to apply to be part of our award-winning team. AZACS was awarded the 2023/2024 National ESEA Distinguished Schools Award for Arizona and the 2022 YASS Prize for innovation in education and providing a transformational experience by expanding unique individualized learning programs for autism charter schools. The Campus Director will work with the AZACS Executive Leadership team to implement high-level, developmentally appropriate academics for students at all levels of the autism spectrum and other special needs. As a school grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, the Campus Director will ensure behavioral practices are implemented with fidelity. The Campus Director will report to the Head of Schools to communicate campus needs and manage the campus with fidelity to ensure full compliance with all charter policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
Serves as the lead, on-site administrator, and point person for the assigned AZACS campus
Mentor and supervise all Instructional staff
Capable of leading a team to implement high-level academic and behavioral programming with support and direction from the charter’s executive leadership team
Works with the behavior team to ensure ABA-based behavioral and instructional practices are implemented with fidelity
Leads the campus and all staff in all daily school operations
Serves as the instructional leader for teachers, behavior specialists, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
Oversees the quality and compliance of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) as it relates to student programming
Ensures the safety and welfare of students, staff, and visitors, and oversees the safety duties of other staff members
Facilitates professional development for teachers and staff, which leads to the enhancement of quality instruction
Ensures valid and reliable data collection, analysis, and aggregation as required by school accountability requirements and stakeholders
Leads curriculum initiatives and oversees the proper implementation of the adopted curriculum
Works with the behavior team to ensure ABA-based behavioral and instructional practices are implemented with fidelity
Participates in the AZACS Accelerated ELC Director Incubation Program
Regular attendance is an essential function of the position
Minimum Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in school leadership at an administrative level
5 years of experience working with students with autism
3 - 5 years teaching special education
Valid Special Education Arizona Teaching Certification
Experience and training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred
Experience in structured teaching, center-based model preferred
Valid IVP Arizona fingerprint clearance card
Master’s Degree or higher
