Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients.

Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.

Performs procedures with minimal supervision.

Assesses patient/family needs and provides education.

Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.

Often incorporates evidence-based research into clinical practice.

Solid knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.

Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.

Likely to provide case management for patients and their families.

Sometimes serves as a resource for nursing staff by providing information being studied in clinical trials.

May provide palliative care for the patient and their families as needed.

May promote/provide staff education.

Responsibilities may include rounding at affiliated hospitals, weekend or after-hour calls.

May mentor new advanced practice providers.

May precept APP students.

Other duties as assigned.

Salary Level $100,000-$180,000 annually

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner

Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program for nursing education

Current Minnesota RN license and current certification as Nurse Practitioner

Minimum of three years of experience as a practicing NP

Experience and knowledge in the management of the physiologic and psychological effect of a cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment strongly preferred

Prefer previous experience in oncology

Physician Assistant

Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program

Minimum of three years' experience as a practicing Physician Assistant

Prefer previous experience in oncology

Current MN state licensure and current CPR certification required

Experience and knowledge in the management of the physiologic and psychological effect of a cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment strongly preferred
