Description As a Physical Education Teacher, you will guide students in developing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to make informed choices about their personal health. You will help students build a foundation in balanced nutrition, regular exercise, and positive recreational activities. By designing engaging lessons, fostering teamwork, and encouraging perseverance, you will support students in building confidence, resilience, and lifelong healthy habits. Your instruction will promote physical development as well as social, emotional, and cognitive growth—empowering students to apply these skills both in and beyond the classroom. You will remain current in your field through ongoing professional growth and collaboration, communicate regularly with parents and staff, and contribute to building- and district‑level meetings. Dependable attendance, supervisory responsibilities, and related duties also form key components of this position.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education
Certification: Holds or is eligible for a Nebraska Teacher’s Certificate
Experience: Successful completion of student teaching
