Prime Function Electrician: Inspect, construct, install, alter, repair, store, lubricate, and maintain all electrical equipment pertaining to production, buildings, and power transmissions, etc.
Maintains compliance with ISO quality system responsibilities.
Job Classification Electrician - Journeyman
Wage: $41.04 per hour
Principle Responsibilities
Work from blueprints, sketches, samples, and written or verbal instructions to disassemble, assemble, install, adjust, or repair machinery and equipment.
Perform mechanical work on screening, pulping, pumping, forming, pressing, drying, cutting, processing, painting, warehousing, shipping, dust collecting, packaging, and waste disposal equipment, together with related measuring controls, meters, drives, and supporting structures.
Disassemble, assemble, install, adjust or repair such items as pumps, conveyors, gear reducers, various types of drive units, agitators, vacuum pumps, compressors, hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic showers, fans, heaters, chains, chain dogs, and hold-downs.
Recognize and correct/report unusual or unsafe conditions.
Keep work area, equipment and department clean, safe and orderly.
Receive instruction and work assignments from Supervisor, or as determined by personal inspection.
Layout work and plan accordingly. Obtain necessary layouts, sketches, tools, equipment and materials, etc.
Operate field, shop and mobile equipment necessary to efficiently complete the job to specifications required by the equipment, company standards and/or operating requirements.
Use torches for cutting and heating in performance duties.
Perform, work with, and/or assist other Electrical personnel or operators necessary to complete job assignments.
Instruct and train apprentices and helpers.
Identify and store salvageable equipment and materials.
May be assigned to perform tasks, either with or without the assistance of operations employees and with or without tools, provided the employee possesses the necessary skills to perform the job safely in the manner deemed necessary.
Identify opportunities for automation to support continuous process improvement and plant safety initiatives.
Proficiency with communication protocols.
Initiate, track, and complete plant electrical project work.
Assist in developing the skills of others and general electrical support, as needed.

Experience Preferred Journeyman certification
Required Experience Minimum of 3 to 5 years electrician experience, preferred in a manufacturing environment.
