McCoy Construction & Forestry, a John Deere dealership group with 25 locations across the Midwest and East South Central Regions, has an opening for a Shop Service Technician.
The Shop Service Technician position is responsible for repairing and maintaining electric, diesel and gasoline industrial, construction and forestry equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not in order of priority)
Must have heavy equipment and construction equipment experience. Ability to make major and minor repairs on construction and forestry equipment, including but not limited to diesel engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, transmission & axles, cooling systems, chassis repairs, and some welding. Perform regular and preventive maintenance including inspections, oil changes, attachment installation, etc. Utilize a computer or mobile device to perform diagnostic tests and maintain accurate records of repairs. Maintain cleanliness in the shop. Must have basic computer skills. You must possess a valid driver’s license. Education, Skills & Knowledge Preferred
Preferred Qualifications: 2-year associate degree from a technical school 2 years of related diesel technician experience. Paid Time Off – 80 Hours in the first year!
