Perform efficient and accurate machine setups and changeovers according to production schedules. Install, adjust, and calibrate tooling, dies, and fixtures for various manufacturing processes. Conduct first‑piece inspections and verify production parameters to ensure quality standards are met. Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical, electrical, or process issues during setup and initial runs. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to configure machinery correctly. Maintain detailed setup records, log process parameters, and document any deviations or improvements. Collaborate with production and quality teams to optimize setup times and improve manufacturing efficiency. Recommended Qualifications
Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand/power tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Proven experience in machine setup, adjustment, and basic troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and quality control procedures. Adherence to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Bonus Qualifications
Experience with PLC programming or industrial automation systems. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles. Proficiency in reading or basic use of CAD software for tooling and fixtures. Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software. Why Pivot Group
