Location: USA - Lancaster, Midpoint Dr Division: Solutions Job Posting Title: Logistics Coordinator, Capacity Planner 3rd Shift - 97996 Time Type: Full Time Responsibilities
Responsible for supporting the Capacity Controller in directing and maintaining consistent freight flow management within and outside the private fleet to ensure minimum bump freight and service failures at minimal cost. May receive requests for unscheduled movements and create ARGUS tracking records. Ensures accurate and timely input of data into ARGUS, Tracking Logs and Reports, and Spot Purchase Agreements for Unscheduled Movements. Monitors freight movement for data integrity, cost, and schedule compliance. Communicates changes in the scheduled network due to enacted contingencies. Completes corporate service and revenue audit and reports for specialty products. Identifies problem shipments that will generate significant service failures and/or increased fleet cost. Works with stations to find alternative routings or solutions to service commitments. Coordinates non-fleet movement of freight on alternative carriers and monitors/co-ordinates the movement of freight on the system's fronthaul/backhaul. Tracks and maintains all information on non-fleet movements for daily recaps and reports. Monitors movement and performance of specialty products, identifying and reporting any problems. May receive orders from forwarders and complete the booking process. May serve as the central point of contact for customers' inquiries and questions. Essential Functions
Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests. Knowledge and Skills
This is a senior level position. Good interpersonal skills required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Generally, prefer 1-3 years of experience. Working Environment and Competencies
Assignment Complexity - Work on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems, making recommendations, and reporting. Accountability - Use ability as a skilled specialist in accordance with corporate policies and procedures to complete complex tasks in creative and effective ways. Impact of Decisions - Errors detectable upon supervisory review. Identifiable impact on corporate operations and fiscal health. Working Relationships - Regularly interact with peers and management concerning matters of complex scope and discretion. Scope - Communicates work on problems or potential problems to complex in scope in coordination with Capacity Controller and Manager for turnaround solutions and implementation. Extensive data input and research. May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other nonexempt personnel. Qualifications
