Base Pay Range $15.00/hr - $17.50/hr
Responsibilities
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Register sales on the assigned cash register, provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
Share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied).
Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade‑up or companion items.
Register customer purchases on the assigned cash register, collect cash, distribute change as requested, process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records; check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by the store manager or shift leader.
Implement company asset‑protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco).
Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super‑structures, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Assist with separation of food items and product placement per policies (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves), perform stock rotation using first‑in, first‑out method, and restock out items.
Have a working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
Provide customer service in the photo area (digital passport photo service, poster printing, creative machine, suggestive selling of promotional photo products).
Assume web‑pick‑up responsibilities (monitor orders in Picture Care Plus, pick items, deliver orders to customers as they arrive).
Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring a clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance.
Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
Basic Qualifications
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
Preferred fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
