Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician Job Summary : The O&M Technician supporting the Meadow Rock RNG site is responsible for performing activities associated with the safe and efficient operations and electric maintenance of the site in compliance with all involves operating SCADA, running analytical tests, inspecting, repairing and installing electronic and power plant equipment.

Responsibilities

Assist with operations, maintenance and overall activities associated with the facility.

Assist in the anaerobic digestion process by monitoring equipment, gauges and charts in the digester, electrical generation and waste treatment processes.

Record and analyze statistical data concerning plant operations ensuring performance specifications are met.

Troubleshoot failures and malfunctions to determine root cause and perform repair or replacement as necessary.

Maintain, modify or repair instrumentation and control equipment (recorders, flowmeters, water quality monitoring).

Collect samples for lab analysis and report results for process control.

Monitor performance of electrical systems and circuits of the treatment plant.

Maintain a clean and presentable plant environment.

Perform preventive maintenance duties on all major equipment and systems and emergency backup systems.

Inspect, repair, install and remove motors, generators, transformers, switches, control equipment, wiring, electrical signals, communication systems, and storage batteries up to 480 V.

Conduct instrument calibration as scheduled and support DCS, PLC and turbine control equipment troubleshooting and analysis.

Maintain complete equipment files, logs and drawings for all designated equipment.

Fully support NAES Safety and Regulatory Compliance programs.

Complete other tasks as assigned by the Area O&M Manager.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency; additional technical training and knowledge of wastewater operations is a plus.

Basic understanding of anaerobic digestion process desired; willingness to learn; prior process experience preferred.

Experience working with voltages up to 480 V highly desirable.

Experience in Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) or gas processing is a plus.

Excellent oral and written communication skills; active listening.

Ability to work from blueprints.

Proficiency with hand and power‑driven tools.

Excellent organizational skills and teamwork.

Valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Standing for extended periods, stair and ladder climbing, routine lifting up to 50 lb. Protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, etc.) required. Work with hazardous materials may be required.

Work Schedule Regular Monday to Friday 8‑hour day shift. Extended working hours, varied shifts with possibility of weekend and holiday work as required. “On call” status periodically required.

Compensation Initial hourly rate ranges from $31.53 to $39.51 depending on experience.
