Schedule and Compensation Must be flexible to work the assigned schedule between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday. Schedules may include varied hours, evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be available a minimum of two evenings during the weekdays and two weekends a month. This position is scheduled at 40 hours per week.
This position will start at $18.25 per hour.
Responsibilities
Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions through registers to itemize and total purchases.
Collect payments in the form of cash, check, or credit, provide accurate change when needed, and give transaction receipts.
Record daily transactions from cash register to balance drawer by counting money at the beginning and end of each shift.
Maintain orderly appearance of personal work space and surrounding areas.
Assist in entering & processing NICS firearm background checks.
Assist with gun room housekeeping and moving multiple gun boxes up & down stairs.
Walk multiple customers across the catwalk to the escalators.
Read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
Demonstrate multitasking, organization, attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
Use Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Publisher, Excel and Google Docs.
Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and explain all benefits clearly.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Complete basic mathematical equations.
Address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Assist with all other duties as assigned.
Ensure all paperwork for firearm sales—including but not limited to form 4473, licensing, and background checks—are completed accurately and thoroughly.

Physical Requirements / Lifting Requirements Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Heavy work: exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
