Pay Rate: $25 - $35 per hour, eligible for quarterly performance bonus.
Responsibilities
Service and/or repair vacuum trucks and other types of heavy equipment
Troubleshoot and evaluate various mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
Perform some welding and fabrication as required (mig, stick, plasma, torch cutting)
Read and understand technical instructions (blueprints, hydraulic schematics, diagrams and work instructions)
Operate overhead crane, hoist, forklift, and miscellaneous air and electric hand tools and measuring instruments as required to perform repairs and maintenance
Complete shop maintenance during down time
Enter jobs into computer system in alignment with company processes
Communicate updates on equipment to Supervisor
Order parts
Work in alignment with all company and OSHA safety policies
Qualifications
Ability to assemble components per drawings and/or verbal or written instructions.
Analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose all systems related to a complete vacuum system.
Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical applications; maintain a clean and safe workplace, must work in a manner deemed safe for self and others.
Willingness to work overtime when requested.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of mechanical assembly experience with strong mechanical aptitude; ability to read blueprints, hydraulic schematics, diagrams, and work instructions.
