The Child Center of NY
Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director or Site Supervisor, the Housekeeper/Maintenance has the primary responsibility for cleaning the center in such a way to promote health and safety while reducing the spread of infection.
Essential Functions
This position is part time ; 2 hours a day after 4pm or before 8am
Follows and completes the center's daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedule.
Conducts facilities checklists to oversee and meet all local, state, and federal building requirements.
Promptly addresses and reports health and safety concerns.
Performs light general maintenance throughout the building.
Participates in emergency drills and environmental safety activities, as requeste d
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalency with custodial training preferred
Effective oral and written communication skills commensurate with the position's responsibilities are required .
FDNY certification: F07, S95 and F01 or study plan to obtain within 60 days of hire.
