Temporary ULD Repair Technician

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm
Wage: $22/hr - $23/hr
FROM CARGO HOLD TO TAKEOFF – BE THE TECH THAT MAKES IT HAPPEN.
The ULD Repair Technician inspects, maintains, and repairs Unit Load Devices (ULDs) used for airport cargo transport which plays a vital role in maintaining safe and efficient cargo operations.
WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A ULD REPAIR TECHNICIAN
Inspect and assess ULDs for damage: Conduct thorough examinations to identify repair needs
Repair damaged ULDs: Use tools and equipment to fix issues such as dents, breaks, and malfunctioning parts
Weld and fabricate parts as needed: Apply welding and metalworking skills to reinforce or replace ULD components
Perform routine maintenance on ULDs: Carry out scheduled tasks to keep ULDs in safe, working condition
Ensure compliance with safety regulations: Follow strict safety protocols and standards during all repair activities
Document repairs and maintenance activities: Maintain accurate records for tracking and regulatory purposes
Collaborate with logistics teams: Coordinate with operations staff to prioritize repairs and ensure cargo readiness
Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
Perform any additional duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS
18 years of age or older
Eligible to work in the United States
Must have a valid state‑issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Previous experience in ULD repair or similar aircraft maintenance roles
Knowledge of ULD types, construction, and repair methods
Proficiency in using tools and equipment for ULD repairs
Attention to detail and commitment to safety
Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including iPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in‑person and through electronic means
Pass a background check and drug screen
Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal— as applicable)
Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

Must be able to crawl and crouch, at times, in confined tight spaces

Must be able to climb and work at elevated heights
Exposure to moderate and at times high noise levels
Exposure to Biohazards and/or Chemicals
Exposure to outdoor elements
Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms
Tasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers
Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three‑dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
