Equipment Operator I
Winter Park, Colorado The Town of Winter Park is accepting applications for a full-time Equipment Operator I. Applicants must possess a valid State Driver's License and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). This year‑round position has excellent benefits and requires various types of manual labor in the construction, maintenance and repair of equipment, streets, parks, and other Town assets. May also operate light and moderately heavy maintenance and construction equipment used on public works projects. Previous equipment operation experience and the possession of a Commercial Driver's License, Class B is a plus. Position is subject to a screening process including criminal history search, employment verification, a Motor Vehicle Record check, and drug and alcohol testing (dependent on the type of Driver's License). Under the close supervision of the Street Superintendent and direction from Equipment Operator III and Equipment Operator II, the Equipment Operator I is to perform unskilled and semi‑skilled manual labor in the construction, maintenance, and repair of Town streets, storm sewer systems, and related appurtenances; to operate light and moderately heavy maintenance and construction equipment used on public works projects; and to perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
