Antelope Reception Center - Bilingual Tour Guide
The purpose of this role is to serve and guide Spanish‑speaking prospective students on campus tours, including individualized tours, group tours, virtual tours, or golf cart tours.
Primary Responsibilities
Collaborate with GCU and GCE staff, as well as prospective students, professionally.
Assist with translating Admissions appointments for prospective students and families.
Implement effective communication and presentation strategies to represent GCU's academic excellence.
Provide support to full‑time employees through the completion of promotional and administrative tasks.
Assist with enrollment events and ongoing office projects as needed.
Work independently and complete required tasks with a high quality of work.
May occasionally be asked to work evenings or weekends.
Qualifications
Friendly, enthusiastic, proactive, self‑assured, organized, and dependable.
Fluent in Spanish and English, able to maintain a professional conversation with students and families for up to two hours.
Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
Confidence using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Comfortable operating various office machines and greeting visitors.
Take pride in work (accuracy is more important than speed).
Comfortable multi‑tasking on occasion.
Previous office experience preferred.
Student willing to work 15–20 hours per week.
Experience / Education Grand Canyon University is committed to a student‑first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
Enrolled at GCU as a full‑time student in a Bachelor’s program.
Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student.
Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
Applicants may be subject to termination if they fall below the minimum requirements.
