Job Title: Shipping Supervisor
Join our team to oversee the shipping department operations, where you will ensure the smooth loading and unloading of trucks, supervise shipping personnel, and maintain fleet and vehicle compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations.
Responsibilities
Load and unload trucks before departure.
Oversee shipping department operations.
Supervise shipping personnel, including hiring, firing, and training.
Maintain fleet and vehicle compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations.
Handle materials and track inventory.
Ensure yard and department maintenance.
Essential Skills
Experience with forklift operation.
Proficiency in shipping and receiving processes.
Experience in loading and unloading operations.
Skill in order picking and using overhead cranes.
Background in construction environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Valid CDL or ability to obtain one.
Previous experience with ERP and computer inventory tracking systems.
Experience with heavy equipment and forklift operations.
Knowledge of rigging and crane operations.
Compliance experience with OSHA, DOT, and FMCA regulations.
Overhead crane experience required.
Experience managing a team of 10-12 employees.
Experience maintaining a fleet of 3 trucks, 25 trailers, and 3-ton flatbed trucks, including DOT inspections and ELDs.

Work Environment Work in a large, relatively new manufacturing facility with some equipment needing repair and updates. You will have an office near the yard and be responsible for the shipping and receiving schedule.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
