About the Store
We are excited to open a brand new store at the Charlotte Premium Outlets in Charlotte, North Carolina. To fulfill our mission of creating the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our guests, we are hiring many new positions.
Job Summary The Freight Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to carry out that mission. The role performs operational tasks assigned by store management, such as receiving and unpacking daily shipments, shipping merchandise, backroom maintenance, and routine cleaning of facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Compare and verify merchandise invoices with items received to ensure shipments are correct.
Send any alterations, layaways, or special orders to guests via FedEx.
Check accuracy of freight packing slips and transfer slips.
Double‑check that all transfers have been processed through the register and that items match what you are shipping out.
When shipping items to guests and other stores, fold items and place them in the appropriate sized box for proper presentation.
Remove any pins and plastic from merchandise shipped in.
Place Sensormatic tags on each garment in the designated spot.
Hang and fold merchandise to be put on the sales floor and steam when necessary.
Assist on floor projects when needed.
Work a flexible schedule—mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday days as required.
Develop and maintain knowledge of POS software.
Receive freight boxes and store transfers through the register.
Send discrepancies in store mail and file non‑errors for 30 days.
Maintain all shipment‑related paperwork.
Identify and respond to security risks and thefts.
Create FedEx labels for all outgoing packages and sort them by transit time (expedited vs. regular).
Send weekly recalls and RTMs to vendors.
Keep supplies stocked and organized (boxes, bags, paper, hangers, sensors, etc.).
Organize fixtures and shelving.
Support a neat, clean, and organized work area.
Maintain orderly daily work files.
Communicate policy violations to Store Manager, District Manager, and/or Human Resources confidentially and promptly.
Provide feedback regarding merchandise handling to Store Manager, Assistant Manager, and Floor Leaders.
Apply Buckle’s Code of Ethics and all store policies, procedures, and handbooks.
Perform duties with high customer service and contribute to a positive team spirit.
Execute special projects and other tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience No prior experience or training required.
Additional Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older.
Physical Demands Regular standing, walking, using hands to handle items, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and occasional sitting. Must lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom. Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision as well as the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment Retail store setting with moderate noise levels.
