Job Description Maintenance Mechanic
What you’ll do
Use knowledge of machines and tools (hand, power, precision instruments).
Perform routine preventive maintenance or repair to keep machines and building systems operating smoothly.
Inspect, operate, or test machinery, equipment, or systems to diagnose malfunctions.
Diagnose mechanical problems using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.
Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
Inspect drives, motors, belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance tasks according to checklists.
Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
What you need to succeed
Be a safety champion promoting a safe and productive workplace.
Be an active participant in creating a successful safety culture.
High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
At least 18 years of age.
Ability and willingness to work non‑traditional shifts and hours.
Experience with general maintenance/electrical duties preferred.
Knowledge of conveyor systems and troubleshooting.
Proficiency with CMMS and computer skills for using PM software.
Maintenance experience within a manufacturing/distribution environment.
