Job Requirements and Duties

Responsible for everything that happens during your shift, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations.

Set the example: follow all policy and procedures 100% of the time and expect the same from the crew.

Handle staffing, paperwork, food management, scheduling, image standards, customer service, attendance, punctuality, transportation, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability.

Job Requirements

You must be 18 years of age or older.

You must be willing and able to work during inclement weather.

You must be willing to open and close the store.

General Job Duties for All Store Team Members

Operate all equipment.

Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.

Prepare product.

Receive and process telephone orders.

Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.

Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.

Training Orientation and training provided on the job.

Communication Skills Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.

Essential Functions/Skills

Perform rapid and accurate arithmetic (may use calculator).

Make correct monetary change.

Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.

Coordinate motor skills between eye and hand for precise movements.

Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Work Conditions Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions during outside tasks.

In‑store temperatures range from 32°F in the cooler to 90°F+ in some work areas.

Extreme weather conditions like temperatures ranging from 0°F to 110°F, rain, fog, sleet, snow, ice, wind, dust, and more.

Sudden changes in temperature in work area and while outside.

Exposure to fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters (walk‑in cooler), hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

Sensing

Talking and listening on telephone.

Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.

Depth perception.

Differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.

Ability to direct activities.

Physical Requirements

Standing: Most tasks performed from a standing position; typical work surface height 36–48 inches.

Walking/Jogging/Running: Short distances or durations.

Sitting: Paperwork normally completed at a desk or table.

Lifting: Bulk product deliveries of up to 50 pounds, cases up to 3' x 1.5', stacked up to 72”.

Carrying: Large bags/boxes/crates up to 50 pounds, trays of dough ~12 pounds per tray.

Pushing: Trays on dollies ~24–30, requires up to 7.5 pounds of force.

Climbing: Infrequent use of stairs or ladder for maintenance.

Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at waist for 45–120 seconds continuously, fore and forward bending for various tasks.

Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.

Reaching: Up, down, and forward; above 72” to turn on/off oven controls, change prices on signs.

Hand Tasks: Continuous use of hands/arms for shaping dough, using pizza peel, rolling cutter, and handling pizza boxes.
