Heavy Equipment Operator $20-28/hr Job Description Join one of Charleston's largest civil site contractors as a Heavy Equipment Operator. You will be working on various civil site projects within the Greater Charleston Area. This opportunity offers the convenience of being home every night with minimal travel requirements.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, track hoes, excavators, motor graders, skid steers, loaders, and front end loaders.

Assist with manual labor tasks when not operating equipment, including shoveling, trench work, loading, and unloading supplies and equipment.

Contribute to the team effort by performing duties necessary to complete projects efficiently.

Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.

Collaborate with the crew to achieve project goals.

Essential Skills

5+ years of experience with heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, back hoes, and graders.

Fine grading experience is highly preferred.

GPS experience is preferred.

Ability to read blueprints.

Strong understanding of civil site and construction processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Flexible availability for overtime and possible weekends.

Reliable, punctual, and a positive attitude towards teamwork.

Willingness to submit to a drug test.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Savannah, GA.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00/hr.
