Job Description
The Assembly Operator assembles and packs products according to Bill of Materials or verbal instructions. Must ensure quality of product being assembled/packed. Responsible for total quality of the job assigned.
Qualifications Job Duties:
Read and follow Bill of Materials.
Follow quality specifications provided by Quality staff and general quality specifications of injection molding (no shorts, no flash, no waves, no discolor, no distortion, etc.).
Follow and adhere to all safety and manufacturing guidelines and rules.
Always remain at workstation, unless relieved by another team member. This prevents buildup of product/scrap caused by unattended workstations.
Must keep workstation clean.
Keep Supervisors informed of quality issues, press/machinery problems.
Properly label products they are producing and place their operator number/initials on each carton.
Keep up with production standards (cycle of products produced).
Provides back up coverage to other team members for breaks, etc.
Follow directions given by Shift Supervisor, Quality Auditor and fill-in leader as needed.
Work to maintain a safe work area.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Overtime as required.
Education
HS Diploma or GED, preferred.
Experience
Previous assembly manufacturing experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Requires manual dexterity skills.
Attention to detail and able to visually see any product defects.
Basic math.
Able to follow work instructions.
Able to work in a team environment and maintain a positive team attitude.
Able to read and understand Bill of Materials.
Follow and adhere to Safety requirements, including wearing PPE as required.
May require prolong sitting or standing.
Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
Lifting and bending to move box of finished products to skid.
