Production Operator – Stick Pack – 1st Shift
Novonesis is seeking a Production Operator to manage the Stick Pack department on the 1st shift (Monday–Thursday, 5 am–3 pm). The position reports to the supervisor and involves operating, cleaning, and maintaining production equipment to produce products within quality standards.
Responsibilities
Setting‑up, operating, adjusting, cleaning, and sanitizing equipment.
Accurately measuring and mixing raw materials according to batch recipes.
Troubleshooting equipment failures and performing minimal preventive maintenance.
Assisting with other production tasks as directed.
Printing and applying labels, verifying lot and batch numbers, and maintaining production records.
Following all workplace safety and sanitation protocols.
Participating in continuous improvement activities using Lean principles.
Adhering to PAPR requirements and maintaining PPE certification.
Taking samples for QC testing as needed.
Complying with religious dietary law certifications (Kosher and Halal).
Qualifications
English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
Basic math skills for converting weight and volume in the metric system.
Ability to read and follow a production journal.
Experience operating a pallet walker and/or forklift preferred.
Basic hand‑tool skills for equipment assembly and disassembly.
Effective communication with coworkers.
Basic computer skills; ERP (SAP) knowledge preferred.
High School Diploma or GED and production experience preferred.
Location Wausau, WI – On‑site
Compensation Hourly rate: $19.00
