Assistant Store Manager
Full‑time position located at 1780 S Lincoln Ave, Vineland, New Jersey 08361-6643.
Salary: $19 – $19.75 per hour.
Duties
Assist with store functions and day‑to‑day store activities
Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns
Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor, maintaining seasonal areas
Perform opening and closing procedures
Process corporate directives (Pull & Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey info, etc.)
Maintain promotional effectiveness of storefront fixtures and displays
Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits & receipts), and loss prevention
Maintain store areas (sales floor, stockroom) to company standards
Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
Adhere to policies and procedures, including safety guidelines, ensuring employees follow them
Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
Maintain cleanliness throughout the store (bathrooms, floors, trash, etc.)
Other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives required
Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
Ability to work in a high‑energy, team environment required
Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required
Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills required
