Somni, recently awarded three Michelin stars, is seeking a highly organized, polished, and guest-focused Reservations & Guest Relations Coordinator. This role is essential to the seamless operation of the restaurant and serves as one of the first points of contact for our guests.
The Reservations Coordinator will manage all reservations under the supervision of the General Manager, ensuring accurate planning and smooth service flow. All administrative responsibilities, communication with partners, and internal support tasks will be carried out directly under Chef Aitor Zabala (Chef/Owner).
Ideal candidates will have experience in fine dining, exceptional communication skills, and a genuine appreciation for elevated hospitality.
Responsibilities
Reservations & Guest Communications
(Supervised by General Manager) Manage the reservation system with precision, including seating plans and waitlist coordination Communicate with guests via email, phone, and booking platforms in a warm and professional tone Confirm reservations and communicate pre-arrival details Record guest notes, dietary needs, and preferences to ensure seamless service Support the General Manager in maintaining reservation flow and service readiness Guest Relations
Represent Somni’s hospitality philosophy as one of the first voices guests encounter Assist with VIP coordination and special requests Maintain positive relationships with concierges, hotel partners, and industry contacts Support guest arrival experience when necessary Administrative & Operational Support
(Reporting directly to Chef Aitor Zabala) Assist the Chef/Owner with administrative tasks, including email correspondence Help coordinate communication with partners, collaborators, and external contacts Prepare documents, schedules, and organizational materials as needed Maintain databases of guest information, preferences, and important contacts Support planning for private events and special projects Provide general operational support across departments when needed Ensure all administrative work reflects Somni’s standard of professionalism and accuracy Skills & Aptitudes
Outstanding written and verbal communication High attention to detail and strong organizational ability Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment Warm, empathetic, and guest-centered personality Professional, polished appearance and demeanor Problem-solving ability, initiative, and adaptability Ability to work collaboratively with leadership and team members Qualifications
Experience in hospitality, reservations, or administrative roles (fine dining strongly preferred) Familiarity with reservation platforms (SevenRooms, RESY, OpenTable, etc.) Strong administrative and email communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Comfortable working under the direct guidance of the Chef/Owner Understanding of food, wine, and dietary basics (preferred but not required) Physical & Schedule Requirements
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Flexibility to support FOH operations during service Work in both administrative and guest-facing settings
