The Operations Support role is a vital part of the overall operations at the plant. The experience you have may make you a perfect fit to join our team at our Columbia, SC plant. You will be called upon to assist with, and may be assigned work in any area of the plant, including coating lines, slitting, shipping, receiving, paint vault, and packaging.

Responsibilities
Retrieve and transport bare coils and maintain flow of metal to lines by safely operating cranes, forklift, and upenders without damaging material or equipment.
Trim, package, and band finished coils according to customer specifications using proper skids, bands, pads, and wrapping materials.
Inspect coils and identify and report defects.
Read and interpret production schedules.
Accurately identify proper skid and package specified on schedules.
Read and accurately record coil weights, order numbers, etc.
Load or unload received or shipped coils onto or off of trucks.
Opportunities for advancement Opportunities to advance to operator positions with pay rates between $22.35 to $29.73/hr.
Qualifications
High school level reading and writing, visual acuity to read labels, meters, gauges, documents and instructions.
Ability to read and comprehend written materials such as schedules, SOPs, work rules, etc.
Ability to effectively communicate with all members of team.
Ability to safely operate small manual and electric hand tools.
Must be available to work 12-hour rotating shifts including weekends as needed.
Regular and on-time attendance is required.
Forklift and overhead crane experience highly desired.
Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment highly desired.
Compensation Starting pay rate $21.09/hr. Opportunities for advancement to operator positions with pay rates between $22.35 to $29.73/hr.
