We are seeking a Wildwood Grove Attractions Team Member B who embodies the heart and soul of our mission and brings families closer together while caring deeply about our brand. This person also brings a spirit of fun, authenticity, collaboration, creativity and genuine hospitality to the lives of our guests.
Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Operate ride controls/control panels in all weather conditions
Communicate and enforce safety rules
Steady guests while entering/exiting ride vehicles during evacuations
Inspect harness and other safety equipment prior to use
React calmly and quickly in stressful/emergency situations
Physically assist guests throughout the ride/attraction as required
Observe guest actions during ride operations to prevent safety hazards
Ensure guests are not adjusting safety equipment and observe actions to prevent safety hazards while on ride/attraction
Complete required safety paperwork daily
Initiate friendly interactions with guests
Clean ride/attraction daily as needed
Work varying hours and in different areas when needed
Complete ride/attraction safety ride‑around/walk throughs if/when required
Learn and enforce all centralized measuring guidelines
Follow all safety standards to include reporting any violation of standards
Requirements Education and Experience
Minimum of 14 years of age is required for Grouper/Greeter positions at Thunderhead, Tennessee Tornado, FireChaser Express, Dragonflier
Minimum of 16 years of age is required for Ride Operators at Moderate Thrill Attractions (IAAPA standards) and for Grouper/Greeter positions at Thunderhead, Tennessee Tornado, FireChaser Express, Dragonflier
Minimum of 18 years of age is required for Ride Operators at High Thrill Attractions (IAAPA standards), any activity with a motor vehicle (trams and shuttles), drive vehicles operated exclusively on rails, or work on or ascend lift hills in training, normal operations, or evacuations
Basic computer skills
Successfully complete a pre‑employment background check and drug screen

Perform duties consistent with creating a safe and secure environment for hosts and guests
Flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities
Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Effective communication with guests and hosts using approved methods
Tolerance to various temperatures while working indoors and outdoors
Meet the physical demands of the job, including manual dexterity for all duties and ability to sit or stand for long periods
Operate/drive a company vehicle with valid driver’s license and insurance
Lift up to 50 lbs., with or without a 2‑person lift; wear full body safety harness; climb to a 200‑ft. lift for inspections, ride evaluations, and host training
Climb evacuation steps and maintain good balance; ride all attractions requiring a physical ride‑through inspection
Wear all required PPE; tolerate all chemicals/detergents used in the area
Be subjected to periodic random drug screening as outlined by company policy
Remain attentive and alert at all times; memorize written safety standards and/or scripts
Speak clearly, including use of P/A systems and two‑way radios
Work outdoors in a variety of weather elements with exposure to bees, insects, and wildlife
Physical and Cognitive Requirements
Lifting and carrying: occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. using company safety guidelines
Mobility: intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing, and/or walking for the duration of shift (up to 13 hours); possible travel to various areas on property, including uneven surfaces
Repetitive movements: frequent use of hands, arms, or other body parts during typical job functions
Environmental conditions: ability to work in varying weather conditions (cold and heat), indoors and outdoors
Cognitive and sensory requirements: strong cognitive skills; think critically, solve problems, process and retain information; attention to detail; effectively communicate using approved methods
