The Loader Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. The Loader Operator must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by policies, procedures, and operator manuals. Job Responsibilities
Operate front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers and to load trucks or railcars Start engine, shift gears, press pedals, and steer to operate loader Move levers to lower and tilt bucket and drive the loader to engage bulk materials Raise and tilt bucket when filled, drive to work site, and dump material Verify amount of aggregate in storage bins and fill hoppers to maintain adequate quantity and quality of raw materials Perform routine maintenance on loaders (lubricating, fueling, cleaning) Contribute to ensuring the quality and quantity of raw materials meets established standards Meet assigned performance indicators and strive for improvement of the plant and surrounding area Follow procedures to ensure plant compliance with state, federal, and local regulations Participate in ongoing minor maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipment Collaborate with plant superintendent, batch person, and other personnel to resolve problems and provide feedback; may recommend solutions to improve performance May haul cement and/or additives from storage area in bulk or bags Adhere to all Cemex, OSHA and MSHA rules and wear proper safety equipment at all times Meet or exceed company safety standards Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Be able to read, write, and speak English Bilingual a plus Working Conditions
Continuous exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and outdoor work Must wear protective equipment while at the location Physical Requirements
Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally Job involves sitting most of the time, with walking or standing for brief periods Regularly required to talk and hear to communicate with employees/visitors and operate safely around heavy equipment Must be able to perform all job functions, including pushing, turning, and pulling of controls Legal Notices
