Role Overview The Shipping and Material Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of materials within the organization. This position is responsible for managing shipping and picking activities, operating forklifts, and maintaining organized workflows to support production and delivery schedules. The role requires a proactive individual who can make independent decisions, solve problems effectively, and adapt to unique situations. Success in this position depends on strong organizational skills, the ability to work both independently and in small teams, and a commitment to safety and accuracy.
Required Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Some experience with shipping and material handling
Work Environment: Manufacturing
Pay: $19-$20/hr
Key Responsibilities
Accurately perform shipping and picking duties to meet operational deadlines.
Safely operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment.
Make independent decisions and resolve issues without constant supervision.
Maintain organized workspaces and ensure efficient material flow.
Collaborate with small teams when needed while being comfortable working alone.
Comply with all safety standards and company procedures.
Critical Competencies for Success
Decision‑Making & Problem‑Solving: Ability to assess situations and act independently.
Adaptability: Comfortable in unique or changing situations.
Technical Skills: Experience in shipping, picking, and forklift operation.
Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage tasks and maintain order.
Teamwork & Independence: Effective working alone or in small groups.
Physical Capability: Able to meet the physical demands of the role (lifting, standing, etc.).
Licensing: Valid driver’s license required.
