Working as an integral part of the logistics team and reporting to the logistics manager, the Equipment Operator is responsible for the daily offloading and distribution activities, productivity, and quality within the laydown yard. This position is responsible for demonstrating safety, quality and productivity performance, vehicle maintenance checks and operational expertise. Will be required to proficiently perform at least one or more distribution-related activities (e.g., order filling, shipping, receiving) on a regular basis with 60%-80% or more of work performed using a forklift. Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
Position requirements and duties of the Logistics Manager
Safely offload construction material from incoming vehicles Locate and move construction material / pallets or crates for storage, or movement Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies Transport materials to construction site as required Establish a vehicle inspection and maintenance plan Conduct daily inspection of vehicle in accordance with OSHA guidelines Comply with company policies and legal guidelines Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities Skills, requirements and duties of the Logistics Equipment Operator
Must have a passion for safety, reliable and ability to think critically Forklift Operator License and 1 year of driving experience required CDL Flexible style Desire to work in the renewable energy sector in a dynamic field environment Excellent organizational and planning skills Reliable and trustworthy High School Diploma Compensation and Benefit Package
