The Town of Acton is seeking a full‑time benefitted Building Maintenance Person with the Public Facilities Division.
Duties:
Included but not limited to janitorial/custodial tasks, cleaning, maintaining and repairing municipal buildings, minor HVAC maintenance, painting, moving furniture and related tasks, meeting room set‑ups for various town functions. Work hours: 11:30 AM until 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Minimum Entrance Requirements:
High School diploma or GED Certificate plus one year of work experience. Familiarity with standard cleaning, building maintenance, and custodial operations. OSHA‑10 certificate within 12 months of hire.
Special Requirements:
Applicant must be available for snow removal duties and additional custodial emergencies on Town properties as well as project requests as needed. May be called to assist with snow plowing in an emergency situation. Applicants will also be required upon offer to undergo a thorough background investigation which includes fingerprinting.
License Requirement:
Employee must possess valid Class D Driver’s License.
Pay Rate:
A‑2, starting at $25.75 - $28.72/hr.; $53,562.08 - $59,741.24/yr.
