Poultry House Operator , you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality care for the poultry in our client's facility, contributing directly to advancements in human and animal health. Maintaining Biosecurity:
Follow strict biosecurity regulations to protect both poultry and product quality. Egg Collection & Sanitization:
Collect, clean, and sanitize SPF eggs, ensuring their quality and suitability for sale. Health Monitoring:
Regularly monitor the flock's health and well-being, reporting any issues to farm management. Equipment Maintenance:
Perform basic equipment upkeep to ensure smooth operations. Training & Support:
Assist in training new team members to uphold high standards in poultry care and farm management. Humane Animal Care:
Ensure the humane treatment of birds throughout their lifecycle. Sales & Operations Support:
Assist with bird sales and other farm-related tasks as needed. Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required. Relevant experience will also be considered. Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds, with regular movement around the poultry house. Comfortable working in warm, humid environments with exposure to noise, chemicals, dust, and live animals. Biosecurity Commitment:
Employees must not have contact with live poultry or birds outside of work hours. Job Conditions:
Exposure to environmental factors, chemicals, allergens, and zoonotic diseases. Moderate noise levels within the facility. Physical activity including lifting, moving, and monitoring poultry welfare. Why This Role Matters:
