What You'll Do

Effectively monitor and inspect equipment for defects

Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture

Perform additional duties as needed

Perform all facets of the repair safely while utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools at different heights or in adverse conditions

Perform building maintenance as required

Purchase supplies and parts for repair, track purchase requisitions when necessary

Able and willing to cross‑train as required

Attend extensive training regarding applicable equipment

Maintain good general housekeeping, keeping equipment and work area clean; keep all tools in good working condition

Perform predictive/preventive/corrective maintenance, utilize computer systems and programs for documentation of maintenance/safety activities; perform time entry, enter notifications and work orders, enter corrective actions/comments

Repair and maintain shop machinery and mechanical equipment including overhead cranes, shears, benders, threaders, forges, induction heaters, and welders

Work with other Technicians on job orders and troubleshooting

What You'll Need

Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions, including heat and cold weather

Able to read technical documents and service manuals, write clearly

Both mechanically and electrically inclined with experience working in both areas

Experience servicing and repairing industrial equipment

Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, rules, and regulations

Possess a strong work ethic and practice safe working habits

Specific knowledge of hydraulics a plus

Ability to work as a team player in a fast‑paced environment, with a strong work ethic, pay attention to detail, and find root causes for issues

Possess proficient skills utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools for performing all facets of the repair and maintenance process

Work on rotating shifts with some overtime required

Able to work overtime as business requires

Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, work outside under all weather conditions when needed

Experience with industrial electrical repairs including troubleshooting and repair of electrical valves and switches

Familiarity with electrical maintenance/repair and ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and components

Your Education

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
