Position Summary:
As a Tour Bus Driver from April to September, you will transport cruise guests and non-cruise guests on various tours to view wildlife. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service Provide guests with general information about Hoonah and the wildlife Participate in all required trainings Promote other Hoonah Travel Adventures and Huna Totem venues Work as greeters to welcome guests and conduct guest orientations Take tickets, and load passengers Assist in retail, or as a deckhand as needed. Daily fueling and cleaning of vehicles as assigned Other duties as assigned Requirements:
Adequate knowledge or willingness to learn about Tlingit culture Valid CDL Driver’s license with ‘P’ endorsement and no air brake restriction Current DOT Medical Certificate Must have good customer service skills and the ability to communicate with guests and others in a professional, friendly, and accurate manner. The Driver must be able to learn, retain and relay information Current First Aid and CPR certification is preferred. Pass federally mandated pre-employment and random drug screening. Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Able to sit for extended periods Comfortable traveling by small plane or ferry to and from a remote setting Able to walk and drive on gravel roads in inclement weather when on site. Hoonah Travel Adventures is a Native-owned and operated enterprise and offers Native Preference under P.O. 93-638.
