Regional Technology Specialist

Be an integral part of J&J MedTech Electrophysiology US Field Sales & Service group reporting to a New Technology Manager (NTM), and closely partnering with the Regional Business Directors (RBDs) and Territory Managers (TMs). Assess and increase clinical competency development for the field organization; assess team members' clinical skills, identify resources to fill training gaps, and monitor improvement to certification levels. Launch new technologies and achieve geographically aligned business objectives; implement emerging education related to new technologies and organizational directives to improve the team’s clinical competence. Provide technical and clinical product support to EP physicians and laboratory staff for electrophysiology diagnostic and therapeutic catheters and systems to enable advanced cardiac ablation procedures. Build and maintain relationships with physicians and EP laboratory staff to foster interest in new products or indications and grow product utilization. Partner with Territory Managers, Field Service Engineers and Field Management to align activities with business objectives. Work with the NTM and Global Education & Training team to assess clinical skills and establish a prioritized clinical development plan leading to growth and goal attainment. Facilitate development of the electrophysiology clinical team to meet certification and ongoing development requirements. Develop and execute a workgroup-wide certification plan to bring 100% of the group to the targeted level and measure learning and growth. Collaborate with Sales and Service leaders to deliver content for growth areas and educate sales and clinical field personnel with Marketing and Global Education and Training. Provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to physicians and EP/IC Lab Staff on electrophysiology systems and equipment; educate customers to optimize usage and share best practices. Coach workgroups on consultative selling to identify sales opportunities and drive incremental business. Maintain open communication with local teams, support staff, and partners to ensure alignment and efficiency. Share best practices with US Field Sales and Service colleagues and internal partners. Develop and grow mutually beneficial relationships with customers beyond the EP/IC lab, including physicians, nurses, technicians, and hospital administrators. Stay current on product instructions for use, best practices, troubleshooting, and relevant scientific literature. Prioritize and respond to requests in a high-stress environment with composure and problem-solving focus; engage in diagnostic dialogue to formulate solutions. Respond to customer requests by email and phone; perform administrative work and ensure compliance training and documentation are up to date. When required, provide case support for operation and use of electrophysiology equipment, including scheduling and presenting clinical information to ensure optimal usage. Qualifications
Required: A minimum of a bachelor's degree, or 5 years of relevant professional work experience.
Excellent oral (including group presentations) and written communication skills, plus strong organizational and time management abilities.
Valid driver’s license issued in the United States; willing and able to travel up to 70% overnight locally, regionally, and nationally.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in cardiology technology (e.g., IBHRE, RCES) for EP and clinical experience.
Managerial or supervisory experience.
Residency in the assigned geography.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
