SMT Operator

in

Madison, AL . Our client is a technology‑driven electronics manufacturer specializing in high‑reliability products. The SMT Operator is responsible for supporting automated surface‑mount production by setting up equipment, monitoring quality, and ensuring accurate assembly of printed circuit boards.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday schedule: 5:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Job Requirements of an SMT Operator:

Minimum two years of experience in electronic manufacturing; SMT experience preferred.

High school diploma or GED required.

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Good understanding of PCB components and part identification.

Ability to follow written instructions and production documentation.

Must be able to work overtime as scheduled.

Experience with MPM stencil printers or Camelot dispensers is a plus.

Performs other duties as required.

Responsibilities of an SMT Operator include:

Work closely with production team members to ensure high‑quality PCB assemblies meet daily output requirements.

Operate automated SMT placement equipment.

Load, unload, and change out feeders; verify components carefully against documentation.

Identify, troubleshoot, and correct basic equipment or process issues; elevate concerns to support staff when needed.

Maintain clear, consistent communication with other operators and team leads.

Requires working knowledge of SMT machinery; familiarity with Juki systems is helpful.

Perform related tasks as assigned to support production flow.
