As part of Chevron Midstream, Supply and Trading (S&T), Commercial Scheduling and Logistics (CS&L) is responsible for trading operations across all transportation modes. The Natural Gas Scheduler – Weekend supports the CS&L Natural Gas Pipeline team by providing seamless weekend coverage across multiple scheduling desks.

Responsibilities

Execute nominations and confirmations across intrastate and interstate pipelines, ensuring timely and accurate gas flow.

Maximize use of transportation contracts and storage transactions to support trading and operational goals.

Monitor and manage daily imbalances, ensuring compliance with operational balancing agreements (OBAs). Maintain and update internal systems (e.g., Endur) with accurate volume data and trade flows.

Track physical inventory positions and reconcile scheduled vs. actual volumes.

Communicate with pipeline operators, traders, and third‑party companies to manage logistics and optimize earnings.

Use pipeline electronic bulletin boards (EBBs) to track curtailments and operational issues, and relay critical information to trading teams.

Prepare accurate and timely accounting for month‑end close processes.

Provide weekend coverage with handover responsibilities to weekday schedulers.

Support emergency response and operational continuity during weekends and holidays.

Champion incident‑free operations and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of natural gas scheduling experience.

Proficiency with Endur (energy trading and risk management program) and/or other relative trade capture systems.

Expertise in gas scheduling systems and regulatory frameworks.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a track record of delivering business results.

Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills across internal and external stakeholders.

Familiarity with EBBs of major pipelines. Knowledge of Permian pipelines is a plus.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree.

Demonstrated influencing skills and the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team in a fast‑paced environment.

Good working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft tools.

Strong attention to detail and organization skills.

Digital mindset and innovative thinker.

Special Considerations

This position is based in Houston.

Expectations include working a weekend schedule inclusive of Saturdays and Sundays, covering multiple desks.

On‑call availability for holiday scheduling requirements.

Relocation Options Relocation may be considered.

International Considerations Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
