As a Custodial Worker 1, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and infection control of the hospital. Your primary objective will be to reduce the presence of microorganisms to provide a safe and hygienic environment for consumers, staff, and visitors. Your duties will involve a range of tasks, such as mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, and disposing of waste. You will also be responsible for replenishing supplies in bathrooms and moving items as needed. In certain cases, you may be required to perform more intensive duties like refinishing floors or deep cleaning rooms. Additionally, you will be tasked with stocking and distributing clean linens throughout the hospital. Your work will directly contribute to the overall cleanliness and functionality of the hospital, making it a better place for everyone. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
