Medical Scheduler - Contract-to-Hire
Schedule:
Training M-F, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM (approx. 6+ weeks). After training: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Requirement:
Work every other weekend. No time off during the first 90 days.
Role Summary The Medical Scheduler supports a high-volume call center environment by answering incoming calls, scheduling patient appointments, transferring calls, and responding to patient room call bells. This role plays a key part in delivering a smooth and positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Answer and route a high volume of calls
Schedule appointments accurately
Respond to patient call bells and follow up on requests
Perform emergency overhead paging
Work onsite as needed
Qualifications
Ability to type 30+ WPM
Strong call center or phone-based customer service experience
Excellent communication and computer skills
Reliable transportation and schedule flexibility
Healthcare scheduling experience is a plus
Work Environment
Business casual office setting (not patient‑facing)
Free parking
Opportunity for temp‑to‑perm placement
Compensation & Requirements
$17/hr, 6‑month contract-to-hire
Background check, drug screen, and education verification required
Job Type & Location This is a contract‑to‑hire position based out of Randallstown, MD.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
