Zeeland Lumber & Supply, a Division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, operates truss and wall panel component manufacturing plants and full-service building material yards along with a wide range of specialty products such as windows, doors, roofing, cabinets, decking, and interior and exterior trim in Michigan.

The CDL Driver I delivers materials to job sites, inspects and maintains trucks, reports shortages, assists in loading and storing materials, and operates a truck of more than three tons. The role may involve less experienced CDL or tractor trailer operation.

Pay based on experience.

What you will do

Operate safely.

Participate in a positive work environment.

Maintain a current Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License as required.

Prepare DOT‑required log of time on duty and driving.

Organize and secure load.

Assist forklift operators when loading.

Check orders for accuracy.

Deliver and unload materials to customers’ satisfaction.

Complete daily equipment pre‑inspection.

Record all merchandise returned by truck and assist in unloading returned materials for credit.

Follow DOT guidelines.

Provide excellent customer service.

Relay customer messages while on the job.

Assist supervisor, other employees, and other work areas as assigned.

Maintain yard and warehouse housekeeping.

Comply with all company policies and guidelines.

Operate truck‑mounted forklift safely and efficiently.

Maintain cleanliness of truck.

Participate in and complete assigned training.

Education Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience Qualifications

CDL experience preferred.

Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers required.

1‑3 years CDL experience required for interstate commerce.

Skills and Abilities

Basic math, read orders, write instructions, complete forms.

Effective and professional communication with customers, employees, and supervisors using verbal and written skills.

Conflict resolution and proactive problem recognition.

Maintain current operator’s license and meet company driver qualification requirements.

Knowledge and use of safe lifting techniques.

Proficiency with or willingness to learn technologies such as smartphone, GPS, and other required applications.

Licenses and Certifications

Class A CDL License required.

Class B CDL License required.
