Inventory Control Specialist

Starting compensation:
$21 per hour, plus a $1.50 shift differential
Schedule:
Monday‑Friday (Nights)
This position is responsible for compiling and maintaining records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in the establishment.
Essential Duties
Report any accidents, injuries, malfunctions on equipment, and safety issues and/or unsafe practices immediately to a Supervisor.
Count material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and post totals to inventory records.
Compare inventories to office records or compute figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.
Verify clerical computations against the physical count of stock and adjust errors in computation or count or investigate and report reasons for discrepancies.
Compile information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and compute inventory balance, price, and cost.
Prepare reports such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.
Prepare a list of depleted items and recommend a survey of defective or unusable items.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
One to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department, which are subject to overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to work in various temperature‑controlled zones ranging from –5 °F to ambient temperature.
Ability to observe surroundings, packages, and labels at both close and far distances.
