This role combines the responsibilities of on-site data collection, cost estimation, and proposal development to enable our front-line sellers to win business.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with the ability to work in diverse environments and manage multiple tasks efficiently.Maintain updated working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental regulations and building codes.* Coordinate tasks between surveying and estimating functions.* Manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.* Maintain high accuracy in survey assessments and cost estimations.* Stay updated with advancements in surveying technology and estimating techniques.* Adapt to changes and promote operational improvements.* Other duties and projects as assigned.* 5 years' work experience in both surveying and estimating.* Experience in fire and security products or services* Internships, apprenticeships, or prior employment in related roles (e.g., installation, service).* Valid driver’s license, with the ability to drive a Johnson Controls fleet vehicle for up to 8 hrs. per day.* As this is a field-based role, the constant ability to walk, stand, climb, lift, bend, and squat as needed.* Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.* Good eyesight, including the ability to work in low-light conditions.* Ability to work in diverse environments, including outdoor areas, construction sites, and existing buildings.* Strong analytical skills to evaluate survey data and cost estimates.* Problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve issues in project designs or cost structures.Your buildings have a purpose.
