A Day in the Life As a Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Inspector you test and inspect fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems to fulfill the fire code requirements for commercial buildings. You must be knowledgeable in State Fire Codes to ensure safety, keep paperwork and reports current, and take pride in high‑quality work.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience with fire alarm and sprinkler systems
NICET II certification in testing and inspection of fire sprinkler systems
Proficiency with NFPA 25, 72 & 13 electrical codes, OSHA requirements, general work safety procedures, and other applicable regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent customer service skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent problem‑solving, prioritization, and communication skills
Ability to work well independently
Work Schedule This full‑time position typically works 8.5‑hour shifts Monday–Friday, with hours that may vary based on business needs.
