Overview
Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol role at Allied Universal. The position is part-time, based in Virginia Beach, VA, and involves armed patrols at government locations, delivering customer service while maintaining a visible security presence. What You'll Do
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergencies when needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, solving problems while maintaining professionalism. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues. Monitor access points and verify credentials to deter unauthorized entry and maintain order. Document and report incidents, observations, and unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols. Coordinate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as required for incidents at the location. Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while carrying out all assigned duties, adapting to varying environments and conditions. Minimum Requirements
A valid driver’s license is required per Allied Universal policy. Possess a valid armed guard card or license. Be at least 21 years of age (21 for armed roles). Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only. Why Join Us
