This career site is for external applicants only.**Employee Type: RegularPerform welding repairs and fabrication on mining equipment.**Job Description:****Essential duties:*** Welds metal and understands metal properties.* Performs repairs on draglines, shovels, and all other mining equipment as needed.* Operates boom truck, welding truck, and forklift.* Performs all phases of welding, cutting, and fabrication.
Repair and assemble gear cases and other mechanical equipment.* Locates and repairs cracks in metal parts and structural members.* Communicates effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and other departments.* Maintains work area in a safe and clean manner.* Performs all job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulations, established company safety procedures and state and federal environmental regulations.**Other duties:*** Works in high places.* Maintains the shop area and shop vehicles in a clean condition.* Assists in the shop as needed.* Completes work orders and properly document work performed.* Other duties as assigned.**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*** Knowledge of all phases of welding, cutting, air arcing, grinding, and an understanding of metal properties.* Knowledge of machine assemblies, bearings, and gearing.* Knowledge and skill of millwright and pipe fitter procedures.* Knowledge of proper rigging procedures.* Needs to be able to pass welding test.**Education, Training and Experience:**High School Diploma or GED required with vocational training preferred.**EEO Statement:**EEO/M/F/disability/veteran You must meet at least the specific minimum requirements listed above to be considered a qualified applicant. #J-18808-Ljbffr
