IMAGING COORDINATOR I - IMAGING Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail‑oriented, customer service focused Imaging Coordinator to join the Imaging Team. This full‑time position will have a rotating schedule, including evenings & weekends (weekend hours qualify for a $2.50 differential per hour).

Responsibilities

Registration and pre‑registration of patients, preparing pre‑registration packets.

Calling patients for pre‑registration notice, collecting co‑payments and account payments.

Registering patients and updating medical records as needed.

Entering and retrieving information from ITS and PACs; preparing and presenting paperwork for clinical procedures done in Imaging.

Working closely with clinical staff to provide patients with screening and procedure education.

Monitoring PACs for STAT preliminary reports and critical findings and facilitating the communication of that information.

Backing up all incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate person or department.

Projecting a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining confidentiality of patients, coworkers and Northwest Specialty Hospital as appropriate.

Qualifications And Preferred Experience

High school diploma required.

One year of prior clerical experience in a medical setting strongly preferred.

Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills to build relationships with physicians or their support staff.

Knowledge of insurer and payer processes.

CPR/BLS or obtained within the first ninety days of hire.

Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment required.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing required.

Ability to multi‑task, prioritize and meet deadlines required.

Knowledge of CPT, ICD‑10 codes and medical terminology preferred.
