Responsibilities
Operate assigned extruders to produce profiles that meet VEKA’s quality standards, including proper setup and start‑up of production.
Make process adjustments as required to established running and quality specifications.
Enter dimensional and attribute checks into the internal BDE database throughout the shift at the required intervals.
Prepare samples for the Quality Department.
Ensure proper packaging and correct quantities as described in stacking diagrams, packaging materials appropriately, and transfer complete packaging units including correct barcode and green tag labels.
Properly stack and segregate scrap profile in designated area, and notify the Lead Tech of scrap pieces during each shift for each profile.
Inform the Plant Lead Technician or Superintendent of any problems that may affect profile quality, safety, or extruder operation throughout the entire shift.
Document and display all processing parameters and verify that nothing has changed on all production lines (e.g., melt pressure, temperature, actual vent, barrel & die zones).
Maintain overall housekeeping of assigned lines while on shift to ensure safety of you and your co‑workers.
Assist the Lead Tech and/or Superintendent throughout the shift.
Support Production Support and Material Handler as needed.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
