CNA / Medical Assistant – Clarkson Heart Center
Nebraska Medicine is seeking a CNA or medical assistant to join our new Clarkson Heart team. The role involves providing quality care within a collaborative environment, assisting with daily clinic operations, and performing duties within scope of practice.
Position Highlights
Sign‑on Bonus: $5,000 for Medical Assistants
Full‑time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
No weekend, holiday, or on‑call required

Job Duties CNA Duties:
Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel to achieve the patient’s care plan.
Medical Assistant Duties:
Provide highest‑quality customer service, assist physicians and support staff, promote efficient clinic operations, and provide quality care under the direction of licensed practitioners.
Required Qualifications
High school education or equivalent (Medical Assistant) / Minimum 16 years of age (CNA)
Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program (Medical Assistant) / Certified Nursing Assistant certification in Nebraska (CNA)
Demonstrated effective communication skills
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire; must be from an American Heart Association endorsed program
Medication aid registry listing upon hire if required for medication administration
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a physician’s office or related area
Medical assistant certification (Medical Assistant)
Medical scribe experience
Bilingual in English and Spanish for certain clinics
Computer data entry and word processing knowledge (CNA)
Basic medical terminology knowledge (CNA)
