Starting Rate:
$19.75 (additional $2.00 for 2nd/3rd shift)
As a Shipping / Warehouse Forklift Operator you will:
Drive forklift truck equipped with lifting devices such as fork, clamp, or trailer hitch to push, lift, stack, tier or remove material.
Load or unload product from trucks and railcars using Forklift or Roll Clamp.
Follow all lift truck safety guidelines and perform safety checks on lift trucks.
Use a computer to utilize the internal company COMN and Load Tracking Systems.
Perform daily housekeeping tasks in work area.
May process small packages.
Qualifications:
Must be able to obtain and retain Forklift Operator License through Lakeside Book Company.
Prior Forklift or Roll Clamp experience preferred.
Must be willing to work daily/weekly overtime as needed.
Must pass pre‑employment Drug Screen and Background (external candidates).
Internal Eligibility Requirements:
Most recent performance rating must be "meeting expectations" or above.
Meet the minimum qualifications as stated in the job posting.
Must be in good standing (i.e. must not be on Corrective Counseling or Performance Improvement Plan).
