Every day, we work with hospitals, funeral homes, and donor families to honor the wishes of eye donors and help recipients regain their vision.
Position Overview We are seeking an Eye Donor Advocate to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with experience or interested in social work, hospice care, case management, or phone-based support who are passionate about helping others. You will play a critical role in coordinating eye donation, supporting families during sensitive times, and ensuring the successful recovery and transport of donated tissue.
Key Responsibilities
Communicate with hospitals, funeral homes, and donor families with empathy and professionalism.
Guide families through the eye donation process, honoring their loved one's wishes.
Coordinate logistics for tissue recovery and transportation.
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with medical teams to ensure timely and successful donation outcomes.
The Ideal Candidate
Background in social work, healthcare, or related field preferred.
Strong communication and active listening skills.
Ability to remain calm and compassionate in sensitive situations.
Detail-oriented and organized with strong problem-solving skills.
