Responsibilities
Operate various heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and graders according to project plans and safety standards.
Use GPS systems to ensure precise grading, excavation, and site layout.
Perform daily inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
Conduct preventive maintenance and minor repairs on machinery to prevent breakdowns.
Ensure that all equipment is cleaned and maintained to preserve performance and longevity.
Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times, including the use of spotters when necessary.
Work closely with supervisors and project managers to ensure project deadlines are met.
Report larger repair needs or safety concerns to appropriate personnel promptly.
Perform occasional labor tasks as needed to support project completion.
Document maintenance checks and equipment performance records regularly.
Must be willing and comfortable assisting with labor duties as needed.
Qualifications
Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
Proven experience operating heavy equipment, with specific experience using GPS for grading and excavation.
Strong understanding of equipment maintenance and minor repair procedures.
Keen attention to detail and the ability to work safely in various work environments.
Ability to read and interpret site plans and project instructions.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, tools, and materials.
Proven experience with excavators, dozers, loaders, motor graders, haul trucks, mini excavators, rollers, compactors, mixers, crushers, mulchers. Finish hand with or without GPS.
Knowledge of GPS setup and troubleshooting.

Reaching or working above shoulder height
Walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and repeated bending
Climbing and operating a motor vehicle
